KinSeed Ecologies is hiring a youth (ages 15–30) for an 8-week position supporting native plant propagation and ecological restoration. This role helps scale up production of genetically diverse, locally adapted native plants for climate-resilient landscapes.

Duties

  • Propagate native plants (seed, cuttings) and perform daily nursery care
  • Process and manage wild-collected seed (cleaning, cataloguing)
  • Support farmers market booth, website updates, and data entry
  • Assist with restoration site maintenance and plant monitoring

Eligibility

This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must be:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
