Plant seed in the fall or early spring and keep watered until established.  This is a highly adaptable plant which can tolerant a range of well-drained soils.  Can be drought tolerant once established.  Brown-eyed Susan has a long blooming period which can be extended with supplemental watering.

Plants may not be long-lived under some conditions.  Fortunately, the seeds are easy to collect and the plants are easy to grow from seed!
