Golden-aster (also called hairy golden aster) is a bushy perennial wildflower with narrow, grey-green leaves and bright yellow, daisy-like flowers that bloom through mid to late summer on dry, sunny sites. It’s a reliable, drought-tolerant performer once established, and its abundant late-summer blooms are an important nectar source for bees, flies, butterflies, moths, and beetles at a time when many other flowers have finished.
